I'm the Pharmacist for the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and Haematology Department at Christchurch Hospital.
I regularly witness first hand the help the Leukaemia and Blood Foundation provide to people with leukaemia.
Shaving my head is no big deal, I usually have a crew cut, but I love my golf so the Marrowthon is my ideal chance to help out. |

Hi, I am a truck driver who has survived Folicullar Lymphoma, (it is now 5 years since my transplant) and I took part in last years Marrowthon in Christchurch and had a great time, both playing and raising funds for the Foundation, that I have chosen to take part again. I would like to thank all those that sponsored me last year and I could be on the look out for more this year. |

As a business operator (Hillside Building Supplies) I think it's important that we support our local community. Ths LBF is such a worthy cause and the Marrowthon a great way to provide support while also enjoying the pleasures of golf. Not so sure if after 100 holes that golf will still be a pleasure, but I need to find out. I guarantee that all donations will go to the LBF charity, not to repair my back at the finish. I also pledge to host anyone who sponsors me for $100 or more, to a round of golf at Clearwater and a beer afterwards. Something in return for your money - you can't get better than that. |
