Gary Kirkpatrick
Hi, I'm Gary Kirkpatrick. I've tried to play golf for many years now and thought I'd come across most things, but I'd never considered playing 100 holes of golf in a day. Well now I've got the chance to do this with the Marrowthon and to support the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation as I go. I hope that you will support me with your sponsorship, however big or small, it's all for a great cause. Thanks Gary. |

I have been trying to master hitting a stationary golf ball for some years now, with varying levels of success. And with three kids aged 3 and under, it’s not getting any easier. The LBF 100 Hole Golf Marrowthon provides a great reason to dust off the clubs and have a fun day out, while most importantly raising money for a very worthy cause. I am really excited at the prospect of playing in what sounds a marvellous event and it is a privilege to play a part in raising funds for people who really need it. Your donation will make a difference to the lives of patients and their families living with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood conditions. |

Brent Soper
Hello, I'm Brent Soper and I've decided to do this crazy thing but it's all for a great cause. The Leukaemia & Blood Foundation provides essential services for the 6 people diagnosed with leukaemia or a related blood cancer every day and their families across New Zealand. I'd really love it if you could help me to help them. |

There are a number of reasons why I’m really looking forward to taking part in this fun event. The Leukaemia & Blood Foundation does a lot of good work in the community and playing 100 holes of golf is such a great fundraising concept. I’ve also had personal experience of the effect these diseases can have on people’s lives so I would like to help. My brother-in-law died of leukaemia at the age of 38 years in the UK and there have been other cases of cancer in my family. Your sponsorship would be really appreciated. Thanks. |

I became aware of this event through a friend who knew I played way too much golf. She was looking for a way to support the LBF after losing a good friend to leukaemia.
John Corboy lost his battle with this disease on December 20th 2007. He had had a successful bone marrow transplant but died from infection while being immunosuppressed for severe graft vs host disease. John was a wonderful husband to Susan, an exceptional dad to 1 year old William, an hilarious and loyal friend to many, and a dedicated and inspiring surgeon.
Please join with me to help support the LBF in its continuing care of, and services for, patients and families.

Rob Hart
Hi there, I am a retired (some would say washed-up) ex-Black Cap cricketer living in Hamilton. The Golf Marrowthon is a fantastic cause that goes the extra mile to help many thousands of New Zealanders every year. I felt compelled to compete in the Golf Marrowthon when asked as I believe that organisatons such the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation play a fundamental role in our wonderful country. As the father of a chronically ill child (heart related, not leukaemia) I have seen first hand the great difference that similar organisations make in our community. We would be so very greatful to recieve your support. All the best, Rob Hart. |

I am the CEO of Fidelity Life Assurance Company Ltd. Our company has been keen supporters of the LBF over the last couple of years. Our products cover conditions such as leukaemia so it is appropriate that we put our support behind organisations like the LBF, who care and motivate these these individuals. This is my third time in the Marrowthon after having a very enjoyable time last year. I have had the pleasure of playing with Ian Jones and Marc Ellis over the last couple of events. I also had great support from my family on the day. This year I am looking to play 100 holes in the day but to walk and carry my clubs rather than use a cart. I look forward to squeezing more money out of all those good supporters who sponsored me last year. |

Penny Smith
Hi there. My name is Penny Smith and you should sponsor me for multiple reasons! I am 24, good looking but unfortunately for the boys, I'm married... Sorry! But on a serious note; I have played representative golf for New Zealand since 2001, and still continue to do so today. I am currently the Golf Development Manager for the Bay of Plenty region. My goal is to have the best junior program in the country, and with the help and support of pros, local golfers, courses and you, I believe we can achieve this. The Leukaemia & Blood Foundation is an excellent cause to support and in all my golfing years I have never attempted to play 100 holes in one day! Please support me on this challenge! |

Lance O'Sullivan
I am so excited to be taking up the challenge, and can’t wait to get out in the golf course and have some fun. I am also proud to be associated with such a worthy cause. 6 people a day are diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or a related blood condition. The Leukaemia & Blood Foundation (LBF) provide vital support for patients and families throughout New Zealand. Please dig deep and help me help the LBF. Thank you. |

Welcome to my Golf Marrowthon fundraising page.
Golf is a fun passion of mine, while helping others less fortunate is a serious passion.
I lost my Dad to leukaemia over 28 years ago. Back then little was known about this desease & support was lacking for the families.
I am asking you to help me to raise $'s for the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation. I'll play the crazy game of golf - 100 holes in one day! All the exercise you need to do is click on the button below, whip out your credit card, enter your details & sponsorship & hey presto! LBF will email you a receipt directly. |

100 holes? That's crazy! Ok, I'm new to New Zealand but am really excited about being here and getting involved with this event. This Marrowthon is a ridiculous idea - I haven't played a round of golf in 10 years - and that was badly! But then it's the challenge that makes it interesting isn't it?
So, what can I say about myself? I'm 28, just emigrated to NZ and looking forward to the outdoor lifestyle that everyone talks about. I'm a keen cyclist but do not have a bike at the moment. In fact, I don't have any golf clubs either! In the meantime I've taken to jogging up Mt Eden each morning. Hopefully by the time the 16th comes around I'll be fit enough to manage 100 holes of golf...

Rod Sanders
Hi my name is Rod Sanders and on behalf of NZ Couriers Hamilton I am delighted to be playing in this event for such a good cause. My wife who is a Doctor worked in Palliative care for 12 months she had experience dealing with people dying from leukaemia and to hear some of her stories was quite emotional. This is the reason why I am so happy to be involved with this event. |

George Sim
Hi, my name is George and I'm a keen golfer. I like to get out on the course whenever the weather permits, and enjoy the chance to hangout with my mates.
I work in advertising in Auckland which manages to keep me out of trouble, and off the streets, most of time. |

Andrew Craig
Hi, I'm Andrew and golf combines two of my favourite pastimes: taking long walks and hitting things with a stick.
After a lifetime of training and countless hours spent preparing mentally I'm finally ready to throw on the plus fours and take up this challenge. The Marrowthon is shaping up to be a great event and it's a fantastic reason to support the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation.
Please show your support by sponsoring me. I'll be thinking of you at the 19th... or should that be the 101st? |

I'm sure we all know someone who has had one of the terrible diseases associated with bone marrow, so as a Rotarian and a Golfer this was definitly something that I felt I could get involved with. 100 holes of golf in one day sounds pretty daunting for an old fellow but it is only one day. With a little kindness from enough people maybe we can make a difference. |
